Description
Founded in 1990, the International Youth Foundation (IYF) is a global NGO that has created local partnerships in 98 countries to help young people shape their futures through proven programs that help them improve their communities, tie education to work, and develop critical life skills. Across Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, IYF has tested and validated methods for equipping youth to find decent jobs as well as launch and grow their social ventures. IYF has extensive experience in forming public‐private partnerships, involving a broad array of stakeholders from the private sector, government, and civil society at the outset of program design in order to foster local ownership and create a foundation for long‐term sustainability and scale. IYF has worked previously with UNESCO and JFIT in starting up our youth leadership institute in Senegal.
A signature initiative of the International Youth Foundation, YouthActionNet believes that the world’s largest resource—youth—can solve the world’s largest challenges. In action for over 15 years, we have created one of the world’s largest networks of young social entrepreneurs comprising 1350+ young leaders in 90 countries. These young leaders founded social ventures, movements, or organizations focused on majority of SDGs. We’ve expanded our locally-owned and adapted model through 23 national/regional institutes around the world, providing leadership training, coaching, advocacy, and funding to innovative youth-led ventures. We lead grassroots change globally by equipping those closest to community challenges with the resources they need to solve them. The young people we support are not only passionate idealists, they’re pragmatic doers. From using bicycles to empower low-income youth.

This will also include case studies and practical tools for young leaders to understand SDGs in a user friendly and youthful way.
